The porch light was on when she pulled into the drive. Someone, she realized, had been leaving it on for her every night for a week.
Hannah sat with her hands on the steering wheel for a long minute before she got out. The house looked exactly the way it had looked the night her father died — which she resented, mildly, because it should not have had the decency to look unchanged.
